The 950 Single bowl sink with drainboard model was designed with a large single bowl to fit all your pots, pans, skillets and even bbq trays so that it's easier to clean.

Whether having a drainboard or not is a question that gets asked a lot, and in the end, it depends on personal preference.

Firstly the stainless steel drainboard has many names, sometimes it's referring to a draining board because it helps with draining the water off plates, or other times it's referred to as a drainer board, they're all the same thing and describe the board that's on the side of a sink that allows you to put dishes that you've just washed to dry. Most people will also purchase a dishrack to sit on top to help stack plates, bowls, and cutlery easier, others use it purely for their pots and pans.

Mounting Options:
Majority of people that imagine a draining board sink will remember the old style double bowl double drainboard pressed sinks with smaller bowl sizes, which is outdated and has been replaced with newer handmade stainless steel sink styles and usually with a single drainboard, since the dishwasher is so common these days, there isn't much use of having two drainboards.

Usually, drainboard models are associated with a cheaper style topmount pressed sink, but here we've created a thick handmade sink that's able to be a topmount sink and an undermount sink.

Even though usually people think that draining board sinks can only be installed topmount, but actually that was a fact of past our sinks have been designed so that they look elegant even when they've been installed as an undermount kitchen sink. If you are choosing to undermount your drainboard sink make sure you that you choose one that is high quality because once they've been installed it's very hard to remove or replace, and you don't want to choose something that doesn't suit your expensive bench top.

Planning:
Make sure when you're planning that you've provided the technical drawing to your cabinet maker early in the process and then provide them with think so that they can use the physical item for the cut-out it's best to avoid just relying on the cutout template that's provided because assumptions are made which lead to mistakes.

Why? Because sinks are VERY LARGE parcels which means they cost a fortune to send around. As much as we'd love to offer it, we do not offer free returns, so please triple check and try to choose the right sink the first time round because it breaks our hearts (and sometimes your wallet) when you choose the wrong colour or size and need to do a return. The other thing to consider when getting a stainless steel sink is that stainless steel scratches! Yes we know, we've produced a beautiful brushed stainless steel finish on all our sinks, and yes we are using a very high quality stainless steel but unfortunately, scratches are inevitable on steel.
