Chilled Water Tap

Experience Instant Chilled Filtered Water at Your Kitchen Sink

A chilled water tap delivers cold, filtered drinking water on demand — chilled to the right temperature and ready the moment you turn the tap. The system works through a compact under sink unit that connects to your water supply and runs your water through multi-stage filtration before chilling it, removing chlorine, sediment, and other common impurities. What comes out is consistently clean, great-tasting cold water, whether you're filling a glass, a water bottle, or cooking. For households that get through a lot of cold water, it's a practical and permanent solution that removes the need for a filter jug or relying on the fridge.

Chilled Water Taps From Zip and Billi: Australia's Most Trusted Brands

Buildmat stocks chilled water taps from the two leading names in the category — Zip Water and Billi. Both brands offer dedicated chilled and chilled filtered water systems, with under sink units designed to fit neatly inside a standard kitchen cabinet without taking up bench space.

The Billi Home C range is a strong starting point if chilled filtered water is your primary need, available in round and square dispenser formats across chrome, matte black, brushed, urban brass, and gunmetal grey.

Zip's chilled range sits within the broader HydroTap G5 lineup, with the same premium build quality and finish options the brand is known for. If you'd like to add boiling or sparkling water capability as well, both brands offer all-in-one systems that cover all three — more on that below.

Want Boiling or Sparkling Water Too? Explore All-in-One Systems

If instant chilled water is the starting point but you'd also like boiling or sparkling water from the same tap, Zip and Billi both offer systems that combine all three functions in one fixture.

The Zip HydroTap G5 BCS range delivers boiling, chilled, and sparkling water through a single tap, with the Celsius Arc All-in-One integrating everything through a standard mixer tap format — ideal if you'd prefer not to add an extra hole in your benchtop. Billi's BCS and B5000 Sparkling ranges cover the same ground with a similarly compact under sink footprint.

Browse our dedicated pages for boiling water taps and sparkling water taps if you'd like to explore those options in more detail, or our filtered water taps page for the broader range.

Match Your Tap to Your Kitchen

Chilled water taps from Zip and Billi are available in finishes that coordinate with most kitchen mixer taps and hardware. Matte black and gunmetal are popular choices for contemporary kitchens, and pair well with black kitchen sinks or gunmetal mixer taps. Brushed gold and rose gold work well in warmer kitchen schemes alongside brushed brass kitchen taps. Chrome and brushed nickel remain the most versatile options across both classic and modern kitchens. Urban brass is available across the Billi Home C range for a more distinctive look.

Filtration, Running Costs, and What to Expect

Both Zip and Billi use multi-stage filtration systems that target chlorine, sediment, and impurities down to sub-micron levels. Filter cartridges need to be replaced periodically to maintain water quality — you'll find compatible replacement filters and cartridges in our accessories range. On the energy side, both brands have engineered their under sink tanks to run efficiently, with standby modes that keep running costs lower than many people expect. Installation requires a licensed plumber and is typically a straightforward job. If you're also considering a whole-home approach to water quality, our whole house water filter range is worth a look.
