We supply Ventair accessories to homeowners, electricians and builders who are fitting a new fan, upgrading an old one or replacing a lost remote. The range is matched by fan model, not just by type, so a rod or controller that suits one Ventair range won't necessarily suit another. Filter by colour, and check the "to suit" details on each listing against your fan from our ceiling fan range.

Why buy genuine Ventair ceiling fan accessories

Ventair accessories are built around specific fan motors and fittings. That's why a genuine part is the safe choice. A DC fan needs a DC controller, an extension rod has to match the fan's mounting and finish, and a replacement remote has to talk to the receiver already in the canopy. Buying from the same maker takes the guesswork out of it.

They also fix problems that can't be solved any other way. On a raked or high ceiling, the right extension rod brings the blades down to where the air reaches you. If you're upgrading from an old AC fan, a DC wall control module can slot into your existing wall box. And if your fan has no wall switch at all, a smart app module lets you run it from your phone.

Ventair ceiling fan accessories by type

  • DC wall controllers: Push button and 3-speed rotary wall controls for Ventair DC fans, including models to suit the Glacier DC, Alaska DC, Spyda DC and Sovereign DC. Some can run several fans from one controller.
  • Remote controls: The Vario remote for selected Ventair DC fans, plus RF remote kits with a handset and receiver for Spyda AC, Stanza and Spinika AC fans.
  • Smart home app modules: App control modules for Ventair Skyfan DC fans, with options for Google Home and Alexa or Bluetooth control through the Pixie app.
  • Extension rods and downrods: Rods from 450mm to 1500mm, made to suit particular Ventair ranges and finishes, with most longer rods including a quick-connect wiring loom.
  • Light kits: Tri-colour dimmable LED light kits that add a light to compatible fan-only models, including the Sovereign DC.
  • Exhaust fan and heating controls: Run-on timers, speed controllers and thermostats for exhaust fans and heat transfer systems.

What we'd check before you buy

Your fan's exact range and motor. This is the most common mix-up we see. Spyda AC, Spyda DC and Spyda EC rods aren't interchangeable, and a remote for an older Spyda with the original light kit won't pair with a newer model. Check the model number on the fan's label or manual and match it to the "to suit" line on the listing.

AC or DC before you pick a wall control. An old rotary AC fan switch won't run a DC motor. If you're upgrading, Ventair's FleXmech modules are designed to fit a standard wall box and need no neutral connection, which keeps the rewire simple for your electrician. Check the listing to confirm your fan is on the compatible list.

Light or no light. Several wall controllers come in two versions, one for fans with an LED light and one for fan-only models. Customers often order the wrong one when they've added a light kit after the fact, so check what's on the fan now, not what it shipped with.

Rod length against your ceiling height. Blades need to sit at least 2.1m off the floor, and on high ceilings most people aim for somewhere between 2.4m and 2.7m so the air reaches the room. Take your ceiling height, subtract the fan's ceiling-to-blade drop and your target blade height, and that's roughly the rod length you need.

Running two fans together. On a long alfresco or open-plan room with two fans, some DC wall controllers can run multiple compatible fans from one switch. That saves a second wall plate and keeps both fans on the same speed.

Who's installing it. Wall controllers, thermostats and timers need a licensed electrician. Remotes like the Vario pair DIY, so you can sort those yourself.
