Want a drain board but couldn't sacrifice any more bench space? The Billy Portable Drain Board would be the answer to that. Made to fit our 450mm width sinks, this minimalist accessory is an effective addition to your kitchen with its calculated angled surface to drain the water straight into the sink. The Billy Portable Drain Board is designed to be sleek and compact so it can sit directly on top of your sink but you can easily store it away when not in use. It is made in the same 304 grade stainless steel and available in 3 other colour finishes to match our Buildmat sinks.
Kindly note, when purchasing the Billy Portable Drain Board along with our tap landing sinks - please double check the clearance from the tap hole and make sure it will not hit the base of the tap.
Please also note that sometimes the underside of the portable drainboard has obvious and visible scratch and polish marks as we try to remove hand welded join lines. Now most people are wondering why this is a warning because seriously who's even going to look at the bottom of your portable drainboard to care.

Well made item, looks nice and finished well, no problems there
It definitely does drain well, sitting in the sink it will drain over time but not that well, but thats okay, I can live with that
What I was hoping for was for it to replace a sink draining side. A lot of the others I have seen slot over the sink edge nicely, you can throw a washing up rack and it acts as your drain side as required. This one has wholes at every corner and due to the poor draining it doesnt really work the best.
I have added a few tabs to the bottom to lift it up so we can still make use of it but because we have mounted our sink on top of the bench it needs to sit really high at the far side to drain well
Its definitely not a very flexible well thought out design is my thoughts
Excuse the mess in the photos, sink and kitchen are still a work in progresss

To the folks who said the water wont drain off well. Have you considered sticking a couple of small rubber feet under one end? Buildmat could probably start supplying them for free even?
M
The drainboard fits perfectly but it has very straight edges which can be a bit sharp or rough to feel. And since it has these edges the water doesn't drain as well as the water gets stuck and pools instead of draining off completely.
N
These look very good quality and quick delivery so I am very happy
J
Really sleek, minimal styling but not much of a slope so water doesn't drain off easily and items sit in water
