Fienza Eleanor 1500mm Fluted Acrylic Back To Wall Bath with Overflow Gloss White

1. Choose your bath style

• Freestanding bathtubs: Great as a hero piece in larger bathrooms, with space all around.
• Back‑to‑wall bathtubs: Give you the look of a freestanding bath but sit flush against the wall to save space and simplify cleaning.
• Inset or island baths: Built into a hob, good for family bathrooms and practical shower‑over‑bath setups.
• Corner bathtubs: Use awkward corners well in compact rooms.

2. Measure your space

Measure length, width and door swings, and note where existing plumbing sits. Make sure there is enough room to walk around the bath, clean around it, and step in and out safely without hitting shower screens, vanities or toilets.

3. Consider depth and comfort

Check internal length, backrest angle and depth, not just overall size. If you like a deep soak, look for higher internal depth and a supportive backrest; for family use, consider a slightly shallower, easier‑to‑access design that works for kids and adults.

4. Match the shape and style to your bathroom

Soft oval and round shapes feel calm and suit organic or coastal styles, while more angular designs feel modern and architectural. Pair your bath with matching bath tapware or freestanding bath fillers so the whole space feels consistent.

5. Check material and maintenance needs

Most modern acrylic and composite tubs are warm to the touch, lighter to install and easier to clean than older cast options. Whatever you choose, clean with a soft cloth and mild, non‑abrasive cleaner, and avoid harsh chemicals or scourers that can dull or scratch the surface.

6. Plan drainage and tap position

Decide whether you want the bath waste at one end or in the centre, and where your taps will sit wall, deck, or floor mounted. Planning this early helps your plumber rough‑in correctly and avoids awkward reaches or splashing.

7. Set your bathtub budget

Decide how central the bathtub is to your bathroom and set a realistic spend to match. Simple inset baths can start from the mid‑hundreds, while most quality freestanding or back‑to‑wall designs tend to sit anywhere from around $900–$3,000+, depending on size, style and brand.
