Waste Receptacles
Fitting out a washroom or commercial bathroom means matching waste capacity to foot traffic and finding a unit that sits flush with your other fixtures. This range covers stand-alone bins and combination units that pair a receptacle with a paper towel dispenser, so you can plan the whole hand-drying and waste station in one go.
Work out the capacity you need
Capacity ranges from small 6.5L units through to larger 45L and 49L receptacles. As a rough guide:
- Small washrooms or single-cubicle bathrooms: 6.5L to 19L units are usually enough.
- Busy commercial washrooms, cafes or office bathrooms: step up to 45L or 49L for less frequent emptying.
- High-traffic sites with heavy paper towel use: pair a larger receptacle with a paper towel dispenser combo unit to keep pace with waste volume.
Wall mount, recessed or surface mounted
How the unit sits on the wall affects both fit and floor space:
- Wall mount receptacles hang directly on the wall face, suiting sites where wall cavity access isn't practical.
- Recessed units sit inside the wall cavity for a flush finish, ideal where clean lines matter and wall depth allows.
- Surface mounted units fix to the wall face and sit proud of it, generally the simplest option for retrofits.
Check wall cavity depth before choosing a recessed model, and confirm stud spacing suits the unit's fixing points.
Stand-alone bins or combination units
Several products in this range combine a waste receptacle with a paper towel dispenser, and some also include a hand dryer. A combined unit saves wall space and keeps hand-drying and waste disposal in one spot, which suits smaller washrooms or sites wanting a tidier layout. If you already have a dispenser or dryer installed, a stand-alone receptacle is the simpler fit.
Finish and colour
Satin stainless steel is the standard finish across most of this range, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in wet environments. A designer black finish is also available on some smaller combination units, useful where the fitout calls for a darker palette. Match the finish to your existing tapware and hardware for a consistent look, and consider pairing with matching toilet roll holders for the full washroom fitout.
Receptacle installation checklist
- Confirm wall type (masonry, stud, tiled) suits the fixing method.
- Measure available wall cavity depth for recessed models.
- Check door swing and cubicle clearances before finalising placement.
- Match finish across waste, dispenser and other bathroom fixtures for a coordinated fitout.
