The Maya 380 sink is a sink that was created for small kitchens and small cabinets, it was born from us listening to customers and is a special to our designers. We had small sinks in our range but it was either too small or too big for a 400 cabinet. Everyone found it hard to maximise that scenario and we know because customers kept calling us and asking for a sink that fit in a 400 cabinet, so the Maya 380 was designed so that it would just fit snug inside.

Now even though theThe Maya 380 was designed for a 400 cabinet, not all 400 cabinets are made the same so please double check with your cabinet maker before purchasing.

We recommend that before buying a sink you measure, measure and measure again the area you're working with and quadruple-check the measurements and the size of the sink is what you're after.

Why? Because sinks are VERY LARGE parcels which means they cost a fortune to send around. As much as we'd love to offer it, we do not offer free returns, so please triple check and try to choose the right sink the first time round because it breaks our hearts (and sometimes your wallet) when you choose the wrong colour or size and need to do a return. If you're ever unsure first ask your cabinet maker because they are seriously the experts in getting this right, if you're still unsure please send us an email or give us a call

The other thing to consider when getting a stainless steel sink is that stainless steel scratches! Yes we know, we've produced a beautiful brushed stainless steel finish on all our sinks, and yes we are using a very high quality stainless steel but unfortunately, scratches are inevitable on steel. If you'd like to prolong your brushed finish you can consider looking at the sink protector grids.

Great sink, looks so elegant

I looked around at many online stores and in store for a sink. I decided to go with Buildmat because of the look, quality and value for money of the sink. I was a bit worried because they are located in Melbourne and I'm from Sydney but after a few calls to their sales team, I gained confidence and put in my order. I am very happy with the end product. It looks fabulous. I bought a kitchen sink and laundry sink. I love the continuity throughout the house.I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Awesome butler's sink

We have been using the Maya for a couple of months now in our butler's pantry. It fits a tap and a Billi tap perfectly. We love it. Don't use it for washing up, just handwashing and mostly the Billi tap gets high usage. The Maya looks neat and doesn't take up a lot of room. The gunmetal looks fantastic with our dark cupboards. We also ordered the Vivid Slimline brushed carbon gooseneck sink mixer and it is a perfect match and size- it is a smaller, delicate kitchen mixer which looks very good with this size sink; it has functioned very well and I love it. I originally ordered the Jeeves as I was trying to maximise bench space but this definitely did not fit two taps so was my error. The Maya fits two taps well. I could not return the Jeeves as I had unpacked it and they were not happy to accept a return as they felt my photos showed marks (which I could not see but which would have happened in transit). So be careful to get your sizes right! We have installed three Buildmat gunmetal sinks in our renovation and are very happy with their delivery, quality and appearance. The square corners do not collect junk and the protector grilles in the base are a good idea as the gunmetal does show scratches easily so the grilles prevent this.

I had brought multiple sinks with the measurements provided from our kitchen designer! Unfortunately no sink would fit and the ones that did were not the design we were looking for. We found Buildmat and purchased the Brushed Gunmetal 380x450 Maya Single Bowl sink. It was shipped and received really quickly. I am so happy with the final fit!
